CBSE Board Exams 2027: Class 10 and 12 Date Sheet Awaited, Check Latest Updates and Download Steps

Students preparing for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 and Class 12 examinations in 2027 are waiting for the official date sheet, which will provide the subject-wise examination schedule and help them organise their revision plans. As of October 31, 2026, the board has not officially released the complete 2027 timetable.

The examinations are expected to take place during February and March 2027, although the exact dates, subject-wise schedule and examination timings will be confirmed only through the official notification.

CBSE Date Sheet 2027: What Students Should Know

The date sheet will contain important details for students appearing in the board examinations, including examination dates, subject names, subject codes and timings. It will help candidates plan their preparation according to the sequence of papers and the gaps between examinations.

CBSE has indicated that the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations for the 2026–27 academic session will be conducted during the February, March and April 2027 period. Students should avoid treating unofficial dates circulating online as confirmed examination schedules.

The board is also continuing preparations for the examination cycle through candidate registration and other administrative processes.

Two Board Examinations for Class 10

The two-examination system for Class 10, introduced in the 2026 academic session, is another important development for students preparing for the 2027 examinations.

Under this arrangement, eligible Class 10 students receive an additional opportunity to improve their performance through a second examination session. The first examination is expected during February and March 2027, while the second session is expected around May 2027.

Students should check the board's detailed instructions to understand eligibility requirements, subject choices and the applicable rules for the second examination.

List of Candidates Submission Is Important

CBSE has made the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) an essential part of the examination process. Schools affiliated with the board are required to submit student details through the prescribed online system.

Only candidates whose details are successfully included in the LOC process will be eligible to appear for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. Students should therefore remain in contact with their schools to confirm that their registration details have been submitted correctly.

Private candidates also need to follow the separate application process and meet the requirements specified by the board.

How to Download the CBSE Date Sheet 2027

Once the official timetable is published, students will be able to access the PDF through the CBSE website. They can follow these steps:

1. Visit the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.
2. Open the latest notifications or examination circulars section.
3. Find the notification for the Class 10 and Class 12 Board Examinations 2027.
4. Select the relevant date-sheet PDF.
5. Check the subject names, subject codes, examination dates and timings.
6. Download and save the document for future reference.

Students should carefully check whether the timetable applies to Class 10 or Class 12 before planning their examination schedule.

How Students Can Prepare While Waiting

Candidates do not need to wait for the date sheet to begin structured revision. They can continue studying according to their school syllabus, practise the latest sample question papers and review the marking schemes.

Solving previous examination papers under timed conditions can also help students understand question patterns and improve time management. Once the official schedule becomes available, students can adjust their revision plans according to the order of subjects and the intervals between papers.

The most important step is to rely on official announcements rather than unverified social media updates. The confirmed Class 10 and Class 12 timetable will be available through the board's official website when released.
